Capturing Faith and Heritage in Print

A siddur is a Hebrew prayer book that is a fixture in Jewish culture and tradition. For the Jewish community, a finely crafted siddur is a point of pride. Printing a siddur comes with great obligation and responsibility, something that printer highresolution® was well aware of when they were asked to produce a small-run siddur with an elevated print quality to honor this cherished text. 

Aside from achieving stunning color quality when printing this siddur’s watercolor artwork, the primary challenge was taking a digitally printed version of the book and retrofitting it for production on an HP Indigo press. This required scanning and removing type from every page to enhance the images before reconstructing the files for production. This also required great attention to detail in order to enlarge the page and image size without distorting the artwork or compromising the quality.
