The Overview
Sketchbooks With Something to Say
As part of sponsoring three industry events in 2025, Sylvamo wanted to create an exclusive takeaway for attendees that was specific to each individual event, and an artist sketchbook proved to be just the ticket. Centered around the theme of sustainability, each sketchbook needed to speak to the character of the event’s host city: Brooklyn, Seattle and Boca Raton.

The Details
Rooted in Place
Part of what makes each sketchbook unique is how each design is rooted in what makes each city special. For example, the Seattle sketchbook for attendees of Creative Works West features cascading waterfalls, gloriously lit mountains and a peaceful forest that pays homage to the Pacific Northwest. The Brooklyn sketchbook for Creative Works East features anthropomorphized animals that walk, bike, skateboard, rollerskate and scoot through a blissfully car-free Brooklyn. The Boca sketchbook, created for thINK Ahead 2025, showcases glittering clear water, palm leaves and rattan with raised spot texture that evokes the magic of the Florida coast. The Boca sketchbook includes matte and UV gloss by Harris & Bruno.

The Results
Documenting What We Plant and Where We Grow
Together, the three sketchbook covers comprise a celebration of our natural world — and a call to care for it. Each cover not only honors the place from which it draws inspiration, it broadens the definition of sustainability and offers a new perspective on what it means to be good stewards of the places we call home. With exceptional print and color quality, each sketchbook is a showstopping print piece that gives designers a blank canvas to tell their own story.
